Thursday, June 21 - Elisha

Elisha again.  Today was our going away party.  We practiced our talent show twice and cried a lot. For our little party we had a talent show.  5 Americans did a performance which was singing, playing the piano, playing guitar, and then all of the Americans danced to a song and grabbed everyone's partners to dance together which caused a big crying fest.  After the show we gave our host families a bouquet of flowers as a thank you as well as taking pictures of everyone in groups and with friends that were made during the month.  Then everyone sat down and ate pizza and whatever food each family brought.  Once everyone was finished, the GAPPies went to a local garden to hang out and then down to one of the local ice cream shops down the hill.  It all lasted a few hours.  It was a real bittersweet moment because it was nice being with everyone and just enjoying ourselves but everyone also knew we would be leaving soon.  Jonas, my host brother, and I walked back to the house to watch Pulp Fiction since I was feeling down about leaving, and then I went to hang out with Clara more.
